Rhizocorp
Rhizocorp is post-cyberpunk groove operating at the intersection of mutant disco, minimal wave, noise, krautrock, proto-house and parapsychological research.
Using a hardware sampler in a dub mixing approach, post-punk bass guitar riffs loop over chugging, dusty rhythms while fragmented alien vocal textures cut through warped analogue sound. The live set incorporates cassette manipulation, electromagnetic frequency transmitters, shortwave radio, noise generators and dub sirens.
Recent performances include opening for Cabaret Voltaire at The Forge in Sheffield and at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, as well as appearances at LUFF Festival in Switzerland and Braille Satellite Festival.
A debut album is forthcoming on Lo Recordings.
